Jakarta concert set list and more...

Added on Wednesday 08 April 2009, 21:27 (BST)

On Wednesday evening Jamiroquai performed at the Sentul Convention Centre in Jakarta, Indonesia.  The set list was as follows:

  • The Kids, High Times, Seven Days In Sunny June, Alright, Little L, Black Capricorn Day, Canned Heat, Use The Force, Travelling Without Moving, Cosmic Girl, Space Cowboy, Love Foolosophy, Deeper Underground

Much as the recent concert in Malaysia filled sites such as YouTube and Flickr with videos and photos expect the same from this concert.  To get things started here's a short blog review from someone who attended the concert.

The organisers of this gig look to have really worked hard on publicity for the concert - and created a special website about the gig, and also a number of super cool t-shirts specially for this one night.  In addition, a press conference was held prior to the gig and a number of photos can be found at the Jazzuality.com site.

I LOVE those T-shirts!!!! Man, Ebay is going to be on fire this week!!!

Just to add to this, ticket prices for this gig were similar to what you'd pay in the UK for Madonna/Michael Jackson. Prices ranged from 45 GBP to 150 GBP! That doesn't even include the price of VIP tickets (which is front/middle to you and I). Wow!

A few photos to start things off... http://twurl.nl/15uev0

Good stuff ! Staple set list. We just need to hear some new tracks ! Maybe next time ....

OMG at those prices David. Sad part is I would have paid it! Well...the 45 bit, NOT the 150 bit.

I hope their not gonna charge those prices in the future!! Jamiroquai is for everyone!

yep - love the t-shirts!

{David, you know why!} :) {there...I said it}
~ciao for now!

i LOVE these shirts...i wish they would be added to the official jamiroquai store!!!

I don't doubt that the gig was brillant, yet but where are the surprise that we can expected in a live? I really hope that next time they will change their set list!
Ps: Enough of love foolosophy!

Anybody know hoy many people went to those 2 gigs in Malaisia and Indonesia?

give 'em a break, first gig back in a while. there'll be plenty of time to hear new tracks....plus, wouldn't you rather hear them for the first time in crisp, stereo quality?

Simple question : where is Sola ? I have noticed a solid member left the band each album's release. Synkronized without Stu, AFO without Simon Katz (and Horns), Dynamite without Toby, and the next one without Sola ? Nooooooooooooooo...

How do you travel all the way to JKT and not make it to Bali? Hello!?!?!? Where's the luv?

I visited Lille today (North of France) and since the wheather was fine the shops had their doors open. There was this large music shop where two middle aged man where givin' a plendid version of " when you gonna learn" on some of the dispayed instruments. What a nice moment that was, and it didn't cost me one cent!
Thanks pals!

Love the "new blue" David! Nice!

p.s. I got the "word" right this time! ;)

Jamiroquai at Indonesia
The gig is very very good indeed,a lot of Indonesian celebrities came to that concert and dance all the time through jamiroquai's songs..and the truth is,there is no sola akingbola, instead, they brought william fry to that gig as a percussionist..and i hope, they are really going to make a new album with a fresh new sounds..according to the newspaper, there are aproximately 8000 attending the gig(the building has the capacity 10000)and yes,the tickets are quiet expensive, the A row is about 150 GB,and the vip row is about 200 GB.but it's amazing to see the antusiastics of the indonesians to saw the gig last wednesday..

Thanks Arejay. I really hope next tour the setlist would be slightly different

i got the shirt..sorry guys.. :)
its only IDR 150.000(about US$15)-only @ venue
