A couple of weeks ago I reported that Denise Van Outen was featured in New Woman magazine and spoke of a funny story about Jay and a carp. Well, it wasn't a late April fools joke and regular contributor to this page Julie Christodoulou has the story for you. When Denise was asked "Was there one occasion when you thought: 'Yeah this is the One?' she replied, "This is a really stupid story, but Jay's got quite a lot of land where he lives, flash bastard, and he's got lakes. Well, he had a carp we'd named Bob, that died and he was a little bit upset. We were a bit pissed and we went out in the garden and he said 'Bob died. We should really bury him.' So we dressed up in Jay's hats and stage gear and we sang 'you're resting now. God bless the carp', and I suddenly tought I've never been out with anyone that I could be so stupid with. Other people go out for a meal and stare at each other through candlelight and think : 'Wow this is the One'. I just looked out of the corner of my eye and thought : "you're so stupid like me", and that was it."
