A 21-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with criminal damage following an incident involving singer Jay Kay's £1million Ferrari in Aldeburgh in the early hours of this morning.

Aaron Billington, of Aldeburgh, is being held in custody at Lowestoft police station and is due to appear before magistrates in Lowestoft tomorrow morning.

The front passenger side window of the Ferrari Enzo, belonging to Jamiroquai frontman, was smashed in the incident which happened between midnight and 2.20am this morning.

The singer had spent the night at the seafront Brudenell Hotel and was seen drinking in the bar yesterday evening.

Jay Kay, 39, who is famed for his love of fast cars, described the incident as “disappointing.”

“It's disappointing - that's all I'll say,” he said. “It says something about the British psyche.”

He also joked: “It's probably the first incident in Aldeburgh for about 60 years.”

The singer, who said he once owned a house in nearby Southwold, Suffolk, added he had decided to visit Aldeburgh for a “quiet” break.

Absolute garbage what was written in the telegraph. I dont think he would be saying - 'my cars faster than yours!' - hahaaa!

also in the Sun's pics it shows the wing mirror has been twisted round - OH NOOOOO - PLEASE DON'T!!!

and the BNH bass player wrote the article in the mail - fascinating! lol

Poor Enzo :(

the only good thing is the guy didn't hit him cars can be repaired, but god i would be pissed off.

Poor Jay - I hope you're able to get the Enzo fixed quick smart - how someone could wreck such a beautiful thing is beyond me?!?!?!?

It appears that there may have been provocation after all:

I just see that the "cool" alcohol give a big sign.

this guy will have to cook lots of fish and chips to pay for the damage

It was maybe a fan who is fed up to wait four years for a new album!! Lol! I'll finish to think that jamiroquai is like a football world cup!!

jay's safety is more important!! Thank god he's okay
