Summer 2008 concerts update

Added on Tuesday 08 July 2008, 08:57 (BST)

On Monday night Jamiroquai performed at the Monaco Live festival, which was the last gig for a few weeks.  The set list (in no particular order!) was as follows:

  • The Kids, High Times, Seven Days In Sunny June, Alright, Black Capricorn Day, Runaway, Travelling Without Moving, Space Cowboy, Cosmic Girl, Love Foolosophy, Little L, Canned Heat, Deeper Underground

On Saturday night the band performed in Portugal at the Super Bock Super Rock Festival and you can read more about the gig over at Jamirotalk.

Last Friday the weekend began with the Rock In Rio concert in Madrid.  If you've been reading the comments on the previous news item here at you'll have known that many video clips have been uploaded to YouTube and if you hunt around your favourite BitTorrent sites you'll be able to find a great quality video of the gig recorded from television.  There are also lots of reviews and photos over at the Jamirotalk and Jamirolive forums.

The band next perform on 14 August in Budapest (Hungary) as part of the Sziget Festival.

majestic view from the port… witch is just at the bottom of "the rock" … covered by all the lights from houses and buildings…an illuminate rock… just when the gig took end… a firework near by the water… just magic there… fans from all France were here… on the front row… of course
THE great moment in the year…

I was there, my first Jay and the Gang concert. It was funky fabulous in a beautiful place and Jay on form. I even met Rob, Sola, Derrick and Paul at the end- really nice guys. Jay was whisked away in a van with smoked windows, but he said thanks to us all for the support. I was so near him, but so were the security. I will try and get my photos on line. Love and peace to all

It was my first Jamiroquai concert and it was just fantastic.
I get a picture with Jay and talked a little bit with him after the concert. He is a really nice guy...
I would like to thank him again but don't know how to do..

I must have been there near you Laura, but I just missed Jay. It was him thanking his fans so don't worry.Otherwise, I send the odd letter or post card to his home even though he probably never sees them. It's the thought that counts! Maybe easier to contact other members of the group. An unforgetable evening.

hey Pippa!
I think we were waiting at the same place after the concert and yes, he left this place without taking any picture with nobody..but I was walking around when I saw the group on a terrasse!
Could you give me his home adress? here is my mail adress: [email protected]
