In a news item at the Stuff (New Zealand) website about the 2006 Gumball rally it says that "The 120 competitors in the rally will also be entertained with performances by US rapper Snoop Dogg and British funk band Jamiroquai."

The 8th Annual rally will take place between Sunday 30th April - Sunday 7th May and is specifically designed to go 'around the world in just 8 days'.  It is being made into a feature film, covering the 3 most powerful continents (Europe, Asia, North America) with 4 music concerts, 120 cars, 240 participants, 3000 miles and millions of fans!

In 2005, Jamiroquai performed at a party the night before the rally started in London, England.
