Looking at the album charts after the first day of UK sales, Music Week writes: "In the album chart, Coldplay's X&Y continues to dominate proceedings, with Foo Fighters' In Your Honor holding off stiff competition from Jamiroquai’s Dynamite." Coldplay has so far been in the UK album chart for two weeks (and sold 238,892 copies last week), with the Foo Fighters album being a new entry last week at number 2 (after selling 159,179 copies). Only time will tell if Jamiroquai can make it a new entry this Sunday at number 2, let alone knock Coldplay off of the top spot.
The title track from the first album, Emergency On Planet Earth was released in the UK as a single today in 1993. In 1998, Deeper Underground dropped 4 places today to number 9 in the UK singles chart.
