According to a teletext report on 5 December 1996, Jamiroquai are teasing fans by refusing to reveal the identity of the "very well-known" woman who plays the title role in their latest video Cosmic Girl. Singer Jason Kay even insisted the technicians, who worked on the video shoot in Spain, sign a gagging order to keep the star's name secret. Says the band's spokesman Dave Wolff - "Jay might reveal Cosmic Girl's identity in the next video - then again he might keep you guessing for years!"
