Jay was interviewed this week (broadcast on Tuesday evening) by Virgin Radio (UK) where he confirmed that his relationship with Denise Van Outen was fine. Jay also said that the band would be playing at as many of the Summer music festivals this year as they could, including Glastonbury.

Japanese fans in 1997 will have started to see Jay in a number of MiniDisc television advertisments that were shown around this date. In 1999, Jamiroquai performed three tracks for Japanese television live via satellite from London's Greenwich Naval College. Today in 2000 Jamiroquai won the award for Best Dance Video (Canned Heat) at the DanceStar 2000 Awards.
