Canned Heat won the Japanese J-Wave award for best song in their annual countdown. The video also won in the Vibe top 500 video count down. Also in Japan, Jay gave away a "Canned Heat" jacket for a charity auction on Fuji-TV.

Jamiroquai failed to win in either of their two nominations (Best Jungle Act and Best Music Video) in the Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) awards today in 1996. You Give Me Something was released in the UK this week in 2001.
