Canned Heat entered the UK singles chart at number 4 yesterday (Sunday). In the mid-week chart it was sitting at number 2 but between Thursday and Saturday, when most singles are bought, it just couldn't keep up the pace. Unfortunately this means that Deeper Underground remains the band's only number 1 single, with Virtual Insanity being their second best - entering the UK chart at number 3 in August 1996.
