Yesterday (Thursday), Jay was in London at the re-opening of Rock Circus, where a waxwork figure of him was revealed. The Sun newspaper printed a photo, and in the same paper, where his girlfriend writes a regular column, she wrote... "I'm excited to hear that Jay is going to be one of the star attractions at the re-opened Rock Circus. Apparently more than 500 candles, weighing a total of 11st 3lb, had to be melted down before they could mould him into the right length and shape. Goodness alone knows how many they had to use for the rest of his body! I can't wait to see if the dummy ended up with a big enough wick." Jay appears in the "after show-party" section. Each waxwork takes about six months to make and costs around £30,000.
Travelling Without Moving was at number two in the UK album charts this week in 1996. Supersonic, the second single to be taken from Synkronized, was released this week in the UK in 1999. A Funk Odyssey was at number one this week in 2001.
