Deeper Underground entered the UK singles chart at number one on Sunday. After getting close to the top slot with Virtual Insanity (which reached number three in August 1996), the band have for the first time got a number one hit which is also a first for the Sony S2 label. This is a superb achievement by the band and according to the official site, the band members are pretty pleased too. For those who like numbers, this is the 796th number one hit ever!
