DanceMob - like a 'flashmob' but with dancing

Added on Sunday 26 July 2009, 11:55 (BST)

Jamiroquai's Canned Heat has been chosen as the song used in an event being held at London's Southbank Centre on 30 August in an event called DanceMob.

"In preparation for Big Dance 2010, the London Mayor’s initiative to get London dancing, Southbank Centre continues its programme of free dance for everyone this summer with DanceMob. DanceMob; a fun and easy to learn dance routine, is taught to people of all generations across London, who then descend on Southbank Centre to transform all the indoor and outdoor spaces into a stage for dance, with you as one of the performers."

A special dance routine choreographed for this event uses Canned Heat and a number of videos showing how to perform the dance can be found at the Soutbank Centre's YouTube channel.

I think there's no better song than Canned Heat to perform/celebrate the art of dancing!

Interesting! Canned Heat and hundreds of people dancing at the same time.
