Beverly Knight chooses Dynamite

Added on Friday 23 December 2005, 18:05 (GMT)
The Independent newspaper (UK) recently interviewed various musicians on the albums that have been their soundtrack for the last 12 months.  One of the interviewees is solo singer Beverley Knight, who not only has her own budding career, but was the voice featured on Main Vein and Love Foolosophy from Jamiroquai's A Funk Odyssey in 2001.

Her choice? Dynamite! She briefly speaks on why she chose this album:

"Bands who've been around a while sometimes get overlooked no matter how good the material, and Dynamite is a bit like that. "Feels Just Like It Should" shows they can make unpredictable dirty funk, and "Starchild" has a dead-cert gets-you-first-time groove. It's a record that won't be leaving my car stereo for a while."

I said that so many times; FJLIS is absolutely filthy. I love this dirt!!!!!

Agree with you there Zed.....FJLIS is a dirrrty track - which i love.
Oh and Beverly Knight is another artist who makes you proud to be British! Shes also from my home town!

Where's your home town Lee?

Exactly what I think! FJLIS is a great track, different from classic Jamiroquai tunes, but the effects on it are superb and the construction of the song is excellent (I love the end with the drums alone). The only bad thing with this song is the live version which is simply bad, too simple and not strong enough!

i love that song, is dirty and great
is great for a passion time with your love...all know what i mean
