DanceFrontDoor, a UK music web site is reporting that Jay has said that writing part of the new album in Scotland has inspired a fresh sound. The site quotes Jay as saying "Getting away from London and writing the album in Scotland has had a great effect on the music. It gave me a welcome breather. I needed to ease off, so I just jumped in my car and drove to Scotland to make it." According to the site, Jay hopes to have the album finished by the end of July for a September release.
Travelling Without Moving was at number two in the UK album charts this week in 1996. Supersonic, the second single to be taken from Synkronized, was released this week in the UK in 1999. A Funk Odyssey was at number one this week in 2001.
