Back in October 202, Jay took part in the "Star In A Reasonably Priced Car" feature of BBC motoring TV show Top Gear. Jay raced around a test track only two seconds slower than a professional racing driver and throughout the ten week series, Jay was the fastest celebrity around the track. This past week, Jay's record was broken by model Jodie Kidd, who beat Jay's time by 0.3 seconds (visitors may also recall that Jay and Jodie were featured on the cover of Tatler magazine (UK) back in 2000). As reported in The Guardian, "They were totally not expecting it," says Kidd, 24, who passed her test only four years ago. "They were gobsmacked." She found herself strapped into the Suzuki after she'd met Clarkson [the show's host] at a party and they'd talked cars. "He was so shocked that a girl was talking about brake horsepower and stuff that he thought I should be on his show."
