Google has just put online over 20 years of archives of the Usenet discussion system network. I've just had a search through the archives to find the first mention of Jamiroquai which was posted to the rec.music.funky group on the 16 November 1992 by Palle Zetterstrand from Sweden, a month after the release of When You Gonna Learn on Acid Jazz. This I believe is quite possibly the first mention of the word Jamiroquai on the Internet and he was quite right when he said "The 12" of the year has arrived."
