Jay Kay has been charged with assault and criminal damage after being accused of attacking a photographer outside Attica nightclub in London's West End back in April of this year. He is due to appear before Bow Street Magistrates Court on 8 October. According to todays Sun newspaper (UK), an official spokesperson said that "Jay Kay will plead not guilty." The paper also states that the maximum sentence for common assault is six months in jail. Criminal damage could be punished with three months inside.
