The Mirror newspaper (UK) have printed Jay's acceptance to the apology Chris Evans made on his national breakfast radio show on Tuesday. Jay said "Chris, thank you for your 'unreserved' apology. You are one of the great men of our time, a troubadour of social conscience, a barometer of Britain. "Your determination to claw yourself up from the tough streets of the north of England has kept the nation spellbound ever since you dreamed of making your first broadcast while brewing tea at Piccadilly Radio. "I am flattered you felt you must apologise 'unreservedly' and look forward to seeing you at the Grand Prix. Your friend, J."
