Brasilian website Estado.com.br recently printed an interview with Jay. In the interview Jay talks about a number of things such as...
- The band plan to play a mixture of music on this tour leg so that all the fans are satisfied and that they will make sure its worth their while since its been a while since they last played.
- He is not a fan of the new Stevie Wonder album, though he understands that musicians need change and take a step forward in a different direction.
- He does not think that the British team will win the Soccer World Cup as he feels that the team/people are not mature/ready for a win.
- He also says that when driving, he often listens to to Marvin Gaye, Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix.
The full interview (in Portuguese) can be read at the Estado.com.br website (BabelFish English translation).
Jay, thaaaa man! Totally agree with him concerning last Wonder's album: a bad Rn'b,(is it possible to be good?)poor instruments, without soul and all the perfect melodies which make that steevie is unique. Bad work man!
Besides, I'm happy with Jay's influences: Led Zep, Marvin and Hendrix! What a mix!!! Three legends in one spirit, I understand why he si soooo talented whith this kind of influences. Just one thing: My english is poor and I don't really understand the first sentence about the band. Can someone help me? What does it mean?
