Confirmed Full European Summer Tour

Added on Wednesday 11 May 2005, 23:07 (UTC)

The official website has now confirmed the full list of dates for the Jamiroquai Summer European tour.  Looking at the list of dates already "announced" on this site, there's eight new dates (if my memory is correct) in the full tour - Sarajevo, Croatia, Portugal and five new dates in Spain.

Now, looking at these dates, Jamiroquai are making a return to the controversal Plaza de Toros in Palma de Mallorca.  Regular visitors to the site will recall that Jamiroquai's management made a statement about the band visiting this bull-fighting venue when they last played at the venue in August 2003....

"Jamiroquai were totally unaware of the fact that the show in Majorca was to be staged in a bullring. The band were alerted to this fact by messages posted on this website. This situation now leaves the band in the difficult situation whereby if the concert is cancelled many fans will be disappointed. Jamiroquai are very excited to be able to bring their show to somewhere like Majorca, where not many major international acts have performed. Plaza de Toros is the only venue of a suitable size on the island of Majorca where the show can be suitably staged. Jamiroquai performing at this venue is in NO WAY an endorsement of Bull fighting. Jay Kay would like to make it very clear that he is strongly opposed to Bull fighting."

For information, the venue in Nimes, France on 22 July is also a bull-fighting arena.
